Official Game Thread: The Heaters vs. OKC Burglars, GAME 3

Figured I'd make the thread for game 3 since we won game 2 lol. Here's to hoping we come out strong and finish strong. I look for Bosh to continue and take advantage of OKC's lack of athleticism from their big men. A strong contribution from Battier & Chalmers combined with solid LBJ and Wade performances will hopefully secure us another W. Playing 48 minutes of solid defense will also be key. Go Heat!

Oh, and we are going to need Howard and Turiaf to bring their A game on the bench tonight as well....

    Random thoughts.

In his last article Sec mentioned Scott Brooks unwillingness to make adjustments to his lineup. Through this filter you can see some patterns emerging in the media. Westbrook saying he doesn't need to change the way he plays and several members of the Thunder saying they just need to come out with more energy. We have really exploited the athletic disparity with Perkins and Ibaka on the floor and, at least for now, it doesn't sound like the Thunder have any plans to change.

Also Westbrook is saving us with his ball hogging and 27 points on 26 shots. Durant and Harden have been efficiency monsters so to some extent Westbrook is bailing us out.

Lebron has had two consecutive 30 point nights where his shot was off. Tonight at the AAA I'm looking for his jump shot to hit as well and a possible 40 being dropped. Not talking about a return of "ugly face" Lebron but if he had had that game against this Thunder defense I think he would have cracked 50-60.

Yeah Perk is terrible. Gotta exploit him on the P&R.

Yep. Bosh is a huge advantage for us. We need a big performance from him. The more Westbrook shoots as well, the better it is for the Heat as you said.

I agree that Westbrook's trigger-happy inefficiency has helped us, and Bosh has been able to take advantage of the unathleticism of Perkins & Collison. But Ibaka? He may be the 5th most athletic guy in the series (remember he jumped from the foul line w/ relative ease in the dunk contest). Why he doesnt get more rebounds is beyond me... but we'll take it!

Crowd is rocking! Another great start. A lot of good movement & passing leading to easy buckets.

Come on!!! That 3rd foul on Battier was a horrible call. Hands were straight up the whole time.

Great job in this 4th qr. We didn't take advantage in the 3rd, but OKC is pretty deep, so it's not easy at any point. But way to come back w/ a run of our own.

Thunder showed their age. Too many squandered free throws. You can't do that on the road and expect to win.
